aren't those illegal? i see them in cars but arent they considered "a distraction to other divers"

 

the only color you can have on the license plate light is white. you can get LED white bulbs which gives it the white with bluish tint to the white. like the ones on the new IS.

BTW. what colors are you talking about that you see around. the only ones i see in my area is stock or the LED white lights for the license plate

 

Correct, any color other than white is illegal. I'm using Polarg bulbs, and they have a blue tint on the bulb which makes the light they give off appear as a pure white, as opposed to the yellowish white seen on the stock bulbs. The pure white really makes the car look newer.

 

ya cops hate colored lights on the plate! they claim the colors make the stickers harder to read/see.

 

i see a bunch of blue and red, they are mexican's tho, and they like those in mexico its not illegal there
