Default Cruise Control.

I wasn't really sure where to put this, so I just posted it here.

Would I get better gas mileage if I used cruise control on the highway..
or is it better without?

I drive 30 miles on the highway to work and I've been wondering this, so I thought I'd ask.
thanks.

Ideally, you're supposed to get better gas mileage while crise control is engaged because it keeps the speed more constant than a person does.

I would say it does. I traveled to Buffalo using Cruise Control and back without. I filled it up more coming back than going.

I was always under the impression that you can get better gas mileage without cruse because you can adjust slower and more consistantly and the cruse tries harder to keep it constant. That's just what I've been told though.

Ray, where you from?

That's what I was thinking.
I think I'll give it a try and see how it goes.
