shifting question. please help!
ok a wile ago i bought a 01 ex. it is my first stick shift. i kinda knew how to shift because i had a bike. and clutch [principals are clos to the same. so now i have goten ue to casually driving it. but today i wanted to see what this puppy could do. (i made sure there was no one around in some back roads) so i got out of fist ok. the tires chirped a little. but when i went into second to tires chirped again. and my tires are in good shape not new but not old ither plenty of tread.im not sure if this is a good thing..... please help.
also some times when im hauling some ***. i think i shift it to quick and i feel a slit jerk that does not feel to good under my feet. could something like this through out the clutch? what sould i do to prevent it (besides going slow)
thanks

the sound that u hear is scratching and it happeneds when u have alot of power and less traction....if it was me i wouldnt bother about it but for u i would suggest getting better tires and letting off the clutch slower

new tyres don't meen good tyres. I had some Singwong****s or something on my old almera gti and i couldn't keep up with 1.0 litre micras through corners, and never mind pulling away, wet or dry. Really good set of tyres is the best thing you can get for your car, bar nothing.

ya i agree with them, just let off the clutch a little slower, i just got my car about 8 months ago and i couldent even drive it off the lot becasue i dident no how to drive standerd, but when i was learning, sometimes i would get cocky and try to take off real fast, and thats what would happen to me, my wheels cherp in frist cuz i let off to fast and put the gas in to hard..dont worry about it..i heard it could take up to a year before you really learn all the things about driving a standerd
