4-1 doesn't always mean better than 4-2-1. For one thing the power curve is tottaly different. Especially with a DC header, you get good gains at certain higher rpm's but sacrifice a lot in other regions, lower than even the stock log manifold even at vtec crossover which is crucial if you want to get over that hump at times. I don't see it as something that effective unless you got internal work done in which case you amplify as much power out of thatrange as possible. And go to the track and stay within that power band. Unless every time you drive down the street your drag raceing and staying beyond 5k rpm's doesn't seem practical to me.
