I am wanting to replace the driver side visor clip on my civic, but I can't figure out how to take the broken one off. Any ideas as to how to remove it and install a new one?

 

forgive me, but what is a visor clip lol

 

The thing that locks the visor in place. You know.....the thing you pull down to block the sun from getting to your eyes.....it usually has a miror on it.......that thing.

I'm trying to figure out how to take it off, but can't seem to figure it out. It's a little hook looking thing that the visor hooks into.

 

It's real easy, with these 3 (real easy) steps:

1. Get a lighter and a pliers
2.Get the clip warm since it's held by red loctite
3. Use pliers to remove the clip, then stick the pliers into your eyes (this of course requires that you open the pliers up)

quite honestly, that wasn't me. It was my friend. I was on here and he was checking it out, and I left the room, which I'll never do again. I came back and he was laughing.

oh and I just got done....nothing is better than being 19 and in your own place. Of course there are too many kids living with their parents til they are like 25 so those of you dont know what I speak of.

 

I figured it out. You just push on the back and turn. Thanks guys.
