Default Drivers side window problem?

i have a 2000 ex coupe. last november, i got hit by a deer on my drivers side mirror but no damage was done to the door except for the window shattered.

i had a replacement one installed the next day, but it never worked as smooothly as the original or as smoothly as the passenger side one does.

a few weeks ago, the window seemed like it was coming off the track and got stuck so i took it back to the glass shop. the said the plastic piece along the bottom came off so they reglued it and i didnt use it for 2 days.

this morning, the same thing happened so i took it back to the shop and they said this time, the regulator popped off so they reattached it. it still did not work smoothly. it basically goes up and at the top, it slips out so ever slightly.i told him when the window gets wet, it shakes on the way up and down.

so they oiled the vertical rubber tracks where it slides up above the panel. but ti was still skipping and jimpy on the way down.

does anyone know what could be wrong, or any ideas what to do?

this is starting to really bother me, and i dont want it to happen every few weeks now.

thanks.

JR

NO, I mean look at it physically. there is supposed to be four...most likely there's three when it does it.

the regulator is what pulls your window up/down....usually one of the four bolts becomes loose and falls out...that's causes the window to be misaligned.

Damn, sorry to hear. I was just trying to figure out how a deer would run into a car. I had this picture in my head of your car just sitting peacfully in the drive way. Then out of nowhere a deer rams into it. Backs up and shouts "Take that!!!" LOL

Also, did you use oil in the window track or on the regulator tracks inside the door? I always use silicone spray to lube the window tracks, not oil.

the window place oiled up the rubber weather stripping where the windows slides up, i dont beleive they sprayed in the tracks under the door panel but i could be wrong. they said bring it back saturday and they would look at it. i will ask them how many bolts they find holding the regulator in place.
