Of my knee!! Why in the world did they design this car with the emergency brake handle right where my knee rest. It's so awkward. Looking at a new car purchase, but his is annoying when taking a test drive. Great looking car style for compact.

Surely I can't be the only one this happens too?

Is there a simple fix to change out the handle with something short? I'm only 6'1". I've done a search and didn't see anything hence I had to sign on. Thanks

I just found me knee resting on that emergency and found it annoying and in the way unlike the models before 06.
I was just curious if there was anyone else who had the same issue and if there was an easy fix.

I have that same god dame prob....nothing you can do.

 

I can't seem to wrap my mind around exactly how the handle would be in the way? Maybe it's just because I'm a midget but I can't imagine having my leg all the way up over the center console?

 

With the 8th gens, honda moved the parking brake handle to the left side of the console, so I can see how the problem would occur. I can't really think of any fixes without a lot of work and custom fabrication, though.
