Default Engine compatibility

Folks,

I have a 95 Civic with a knocking 1.5 liter engine. Will a 1.6 from a 2000 civic bolt in and work if I change the intake, exhaust and distributor from my 1.5? I have a chance to purchase a 1.6 from a 2000 civic with 80k on the clock for around $500 if it is a direct bolt in replacement.

Thanks for your help,

Coy

yes, it's bolt in, just might need additional wiring depending on the make and model. and don't ask what wiring and how to do it, just research first, then ask questions.

Shouldn't be much of a problem at all, just bolt right in

Like He ^^ said maybe a little bit more wiring depending on make and model you get it from

If you don't have VTEC which im preatty sure you don't, and you put in a D16Y8 or D16Z6 you are goin to have to wire VTEC
Overall not to hard though
