LookIng for ideas on Mods for my 98 HX. Just wanting a little more power, car already has a header, magnaflow cat , cat back exhaust. What will give me the best power for the money? Car is 5 speed also, thanks in advance for any suggestions.

 

Please understand that the Civic generally speaking is a economy car, with the HX being the most gas efficient out of any of the Civics offered in the US between 96-00. The primary purpose of the HX was to deliver exceptional gas mileage, not power.

With that said, there isn't much else you can do to gain power short of boosting, or swapping out the engine for something bigger. This is a topic that is constantly asked about and has been answered 1000s of times if not more. Do some searching and figure out how much power you would like to end up with and go from there. if your goal is 200whp, and you decide to go turbo, that header you bought is now worthless.
