F22 swap

Default F22 swap

I have a 91 civic hatch thats got a D16 in it and i have a buddy with a F22..i was wondering if they can be interchanged...the D16 just got locked up 2day so if anyone can help me i could really use it so i can get the car back on the road

They can but honestly, you're better off swapping in another d16 than the f-series. You'll need custom mounts and axles as well as a lot of other things to make the f22 work in your EF. A d-series can be found fairly cheap used (~$300-$500 on Craigslist) and will drop right in (with the possibility of a little wiring work depending on which d-series you swap in).

But yes, the F22 will technically fit in the EF chassis.

so basically its not worth it cuz its cheaper and easier to buy a used D-series and drop it in.

It should drop right in. Your stock intake and exhaust should bolt up to it with no modification as far as I'm aware. The only thing that might be a problem would be the ECU assuming he won't give you the one for the D15.
