Default first car

Hey everyone, new to the forum as well as hondas,
Im getting a Honda Civic EX coupe D16Y8vtech here in a few days. I dont want to turn the car into a little ricer, but still want it to be fast. What would you suggest be a first few mods to the car? Ive worked on engines before torn down to bare bolts but never a honda. Thank you very much for your time viewing this thread.

How much money do you have? How much power are you looking to get? Turbo is a good power adder, but can be somewhat costly after upgrading almost everything. Simple bolt-ons will only yield very minimal gains.

Welcome, and +1 for keeping it unriced.

Im dropping 6k on it. Its very nice exterior wise with only new lower control arms. everything else is complety stock. Which I like. I like to know whats happening to the car. Well for now im broke, but ill have some money coming in soon, most all my earnings will be going into the car. Its tuff when mommy and daddy wont buy everything my heart desires bahahaha. Anywho, so would that be a goo dplace to start? What would be the total involving the turbo?

6k sounds overpriced for any 96-00 Civic EX. I think you are getting ripped off.

What's the mileage? If it's not extremely low, you're getting played.

Yep, you are getting ripped off. Car is only worth ~$3500. Mods do not add to the value of the car, this is something the seller needs to learn.
