Wheels, tires and lowering springs. That will give it a more sporty look and feel and is one of the most drastic things you can do to change a cars look.

 

you could always look for a front lip spoiler they look good, lowering the car makes it look so much better

 

Any specific details along those lines? Such as kinds of wheels or tires that I should avoid or that are generally good quality?

Keep in mind I'm pretty much a complete greenhorn - I know nothing about anything.

 

Just saying...anything that is packaged like rice, could possibly be rice. I'm talking the phony chromed bits (exhaust tips, lock *****, air fresheners etc...) AEM does have good engine parts, but for a new Civic owner to walk into a Kragen and look for bolt on parts might come away with the wrong stuff.
I DO stand behind the good parts they make(DCSports header, pullies, fuel rails, fuel PR, etc)...and I see how that comment could be considered confusing...LOL
