Gas Gauge question - 2006 Civic
Hey, does anyone know how much gas is left when there are zero bars left on the gas gauge? Also, what kind of real-world MPG are people seeing with the 2006 EX Sedan (automatic)? Either there's a lot of gas left and I'm miscalculating my MPG, or my MPG of 28 is really disappointing.

RE: Gas Gauge question - 2006 Civic
If you are getting 28 MPG in city driving, you are getting what my local dealer says is normal for the cars he sees. You will soon be bombarded with folks claiming up to 61 MPG. Be a bit skeptical. Lol..........
In the first 8,172 miles I averaged 35.2 MPG, but I use extreme measures to get good mileage out of my 5-speed manual tranny '06 LX sedan. Most of my driving is city stop and go, with only 25% being highway. The Service Manager makes a copy of my logbook each time I come in for service to show folks what is possible. My last tank (see attachment) was 38.4 MPG.
See the thread "Mileage with 2007 Civic not as advertised" in this section for reports on what others claim they are getting.
My current tank is at 2 bars and I have covered 402 miles. When I fill up with no bars showing I normally put in about 11 gallons. If the Owner's Manual is to be believed I still have about 1.5 gallons left with no bars showing.
