gas gauge (sorry last question)

Default gas gauge (sorry last question)
how come when i start my car even when i know my gas is on Empty the gauge is always on full,when i know im empty. sometimes it will go down to how much gas i have but then it will rise back up to Full. weird.

Possibly a faulty sending unit. Here's how to test:
