h22 swap completed but problem

my friend got a h22 engine put in his 95 civic coupe...... eevrything went fine but now his hood doesnt close... i said get a cf hood and get hood pins but he doesnt have money for that rite now... is this suppose to happen i mean the place where he bought it from says its suppose to drop in right into the civic and is suppose to fit fine without modification........... ??

yes. you should be able to close the engine without modification.

did you use hasport engine mounts when doing the swap?

nope shouldnt be happening. I did a swap with my teacher and his hood fit fine but he did have hood pins. and just tell him to cut the holes in his normal hood to put pins in.

ohh ok, im planning on doing a b16a2 swap, i shouldnt have any of these problems should i?

couldnt you cut out the webing on the inside of the hood that its hitting?

Yeah theres like a heat sheild or something shouldnt there be? Or just buy hood pins

nope this will not happen, you will close your hood just fine.

good.... hey aryiman is the gearbox included with the swap most of the time causei knoe u need a new one also are u boosted yet???
