Default had a ? about my em2 motor

hey guys new to this forum. i have a 2001 honda civic ex and this past week i have removed the motor and tranny. i am planning on replacing them and add a few goodies on the way.

my first question is on my original motorwhich is a d17a2 the letters PMM are on the valve cover of the head. i bought a 2005 motor that is also a d17a2 from a salvage yard and on the valve cover it has just one big M on it instead of the PMM. now my question is, is this simply because it is a differ year or is there a significant difference in motors
second question is i am attempting to fix my tranny i already opened it but am a lil nervous to start taking hit apart anyone got a web site or somthing i can look at . or does anyone know where i can buy a newer reliable tranny in the nyc area.

also i ordered a stage 2 clutch from centerforce has anyone tried there product, i also need a flywheel, i was thinking about getting the prolight or stretlight from act what are your opinions.

1. it's just a different valve cover. It will still fit/work the same.
2. check craigslist and/or ebay
3. get the streetlite unless you have a TON of HP and/or are using the car only for track use. For a daily driver i would recommend the streetlite
