i've stalled my new 07 civic an embarassing number of times in the 2 weeks that i've had it. the transition from an old 4-speed manual ford pickup with a beast of a clutch to a virtually no-resistance clutch was rough. plus, the truck was the only stick i'd ever driven before getting the civic.

also, since the way the truck is geared i'd tend to do most of my driving in third, since my commute rarely reaches speeds above 45-50 mph. so several time driving the civic i'd stop with it in third, thinking that i had it in first. talk about embarassing...

yes, i know downshifting would've prevented that. however, downshifting doesn't stop the honda nearly as fast as it did the truck.
