replace header with factory exhaust or lift it. thats your only option unless you wanna custom make and weld a skid plate.

how much would have to lift the front end? .50 of an inch? would a skid plate hold still even if it gets hit, i just dont want the header to get pushed up, would an aftermarket skid plate protect it?

Do you have coilovers? If yes, then remove the wheel, loosen the collar on the coilover and twist the coilover to raise the vehicle. Otherwise, buy new springs. We need to know what kind of suspension you currently have.

I've never heard of an aftermarket skid plate for a civic. You can find them for trucks and jeeps... I suppose you could modify one of them. But honestly, thats stupid.

Have someone who's good with welding lop about an inch or two out of your header and weld it back together. Thats what alotta people do when doing an H2B swap if they don't have a h2b specific header.

edit- this is assuming you have some room between the header and the oil pan, which most headers do.

Shandles has a good point, check for a gap between the header and the oil pan. If there's space there, there is room to get it higher off the ground by modifying the header or using a different header, until the header is almost touching the pan.

Skid plate FTW. Go to the Home Depot, buy yourself a piece of sheet metal, cut it with a plasma torch to fit, then bolt it up custom. If you bottom out, you'll put on a light show with all the sparks that will fly.

Really, though. Raise it back up. Put some 16s on it. Call it good enough.
