Question Honda REQUIRING Zeibart on 2024s?

I have been looking for a Civic Sport Touring with a manual transmission and two dealers have told me that all the 2023 models have already been allocated and any further vehicles will be the 2024 model. Ok, fine. They are saying that a $1500+ Ziebart package will automatically be added to all 2024s, though. (I didn’t think to ask if that applied to all new models or just to the Civics or just the Civic hatchbacks.) Has anyone heard/read anything about this? Any idea WHAT Ziebart protection(s) they are adding? I have heard mixed reviews over the years about Ziebart products, and it really annoys me that they are forcing this addition.

They also have no idea if there will be any exterior color changes. Anyone heard anything about that? The top of the line manual is only available in three colors and I hate two of them… so will be stuck with white…
