I replaced the hood dampers on my 1983 Buick Regal. The first time I closed the hood after installing them I BENT THE HOOD (the OE sheet metal one). So I can see why the possibility of cracking/breaking a CF one is very high.

 

carbon fiber is real easy to crack, just dont slam the hood shut once u get them on and see if it wants to go easy. i know plenty of people with dampers on carbon fiber

 

im looking for a hood damper kit for my 2001 honda civic ex any suggestions i can seem to find any pls i need help
