how am i supposed to shift an automatic car?
One tip to help an auto trans (according to the manual) is to set your emergency brake before placing the car in"Park". Takes the load off the parking mechanism in the trans and puts it on the e-brake.
Glad i read this, Wont be reving my civic and throwing it in Drive anymore.. did do some wicked burnouts and **** but... definatly wish i had a manual...

whats that range..... ruffly 100K miles typical milage on them by now... also depends if previous owner abused the tranny as well....but ya if you want to do some wicked burnouts..... find some slick/dirty areas to start spinning the tires with. LOL or just buy/trade for a manual....
ive been driving automatics for 12years now and from time to time ive had a manual.. and one thing ive definatly learned in traffic a automatic keeps you saine.... with a manual you will go insaine in stop and go traffic. LMFAO
hey thanks for the ebrake tip... I have only used my ebrake when I'm parking on a slope or something... I normally do not use it. So before i shift into park, i should put the ebrake on while coming to a full stop but while still on drive?
