Default Inner wheel arch liner replacement

Hi, I have a 2004 Honda Civic 1.7 cdti SE. The inner wheel arch liner for my front passenger side is half missing (the part that stops all the mud and water etc flinging of the tyre). A chap on ebay says he will get me the part for 15quid plus 10 delivery. What I really want to know is how hard is this to replace? It is litterally a 20min job with the wheel off?

Also my passenger door handle no longer opens from the inside only the outside, is there a quick fix for this?

Thanks

The replacement itself is easy. Jack the car up, take the wheel off, and start removing all of the obvious clips that hold it in place. Take your time and be patient or you'll break the clips. It may take closer to an hour if you take it slow.

For the door handle, you will need to pull the inner door panel off to look at it. It's likely that one of the control rods came unclipped. It's also possible that the plastic component that the control rod connects to has broken. You'll need to open it up either way to look at what the problem is.

How do you open that up curiously?

Smcquis,

It's a very straight-forward and simple job to accomplish- even for individuals possessing novice mechanical skills. There's two screws and an inner fender clip (shown as ref #9, 10 and 13 respectively in this diagram) that need to be removed before the inner fender piece is liberated from the body. You should be able to sufficiently complete the job within an hour, I'd guesstimate
