Insurance Rates
I used to have a 2002 honda civic lx..... i was leaving work one day and a guy was traveling in the wrong lane and hit me head on... he was coming so fast there was no way for me to avoid him.... he did not have a license and no insurance thank goodness for uninsured motorest insurance.... anyway the accident wasnt my fault.. before the accident I was paying 90 some for just liability
I bought my 08' from the insurance money and also I sold my Horse trailer (i'm leaving for college)
I agree that a new teen shouldnt get a new car.. because accidents happen and they will happen.. rather it be a small "ding" or a large catastrophe

I got my license at 18, got my civic at 20, turning 23 in november this year. I remember paying $200/month with state farm and early last year my rates went down to $80/month.
no tickets, one little fender bender in my original car(eagle summit)

logand5....If you really want to find out, why not go online and "google" auto insurance. Check out the websites that offer to provide you with an online insurance quote. That way you'll have a very good idea of what auto insurance will cost you. Progressive.com claims to offer quotes from competitors as well as from Progressive, although you'll have to decide whether or not to trust their accuracy as far as other companies go.

I'm on my own plan one car: 92 Honda Civic CX, I'm 19 and I pay $93 A month for 25/25/50 With American Family. That's with good student discount, Safety Discount, 6 month Prior insurance, and no accidents and no tickets.
I'm going to be put on premium member because of my good record in May, and my insurance is going to go down $25 bucks a month! WOOT

Haha I've got 4 wrecks under my belt and I'm 19......yeah yeah I've heard it all
They aren't ALL totally my fault.....I'd be paying a measly 4 grand a year if i wasn't under my parents insurance still....
Defineitely go check out rates online. Most places will give you a free estimate if you fill out all the info they ask for like if you've wrecked, how old you are etc. It only takes like 10-15 minutes

damn, old thread
anyway 18, paying 128 a month on my Sol with Gieco
2 speeding tickets and an "improper lane change resulting in an accident"... barely started to change lanes (was like 6" into the other lane, lol) and this lady in my blind spot swerved off the road and into the guardrail... she obviously failed defensive driving. all she had to do was tap her brakes... but no. typical woman driver, ugh. regardless, it was my fault and i'm not trying to say it's not, i'm just trying to say that she could have easily avoided crashing.
OH, and I hate the dumb bitch because she said she wasn't hurt at all and then a week later she tried to sue my insurance company because she claimed she was hurt. I felt bad at first for starting to go into her lane, but now I don't, because she's a dishonest ***.
