i just got my ram HP clutch installed a few days ago. i had to have my flywheel resurfaced also. anyways, i also got a dc sports short shifter and i drove it last night and noticed that about 15 mins...the shifter and **** get pretty warm. is this normal? i was thinking it might just be my hand but i pulled the boot down and the shifter is hot too. not hot to burn, just to want to not touch it. well i really like this short shifter and thanks guys for telling me how fun they are. really easier to shift and my new clutch feels really good too. oh yea, i finally put my dc tie bar on too.

 

Look under the car to see if the shifter linkage is resting on the exhaust. THat would be my guess on the heat issue
