launching tips

i need help on how to launch my car. i dont really know what to do for a good launch. what rpm's would i need to hold it at and what do i do with the cluch and all that. give me some tips and pointers!

hrm... well most of it is a feel... but you can look up th torque specs on your car and see what RPM you peak at and try sticking with that... as far as the rest is concerned, it is all about the feel of the car. sorry bro

Your best bet is to find a large empty parking lot and practice. Find the spot where the clutch engages and use different RPMs and see what works best.

Yea i would recommend the parking lot idea. Find the perfect spot on the clutch and try a bunch of dif RPM's
In mine its like 3500ish, thats a GSR though so its all about the car Good luck

this really is true...from all the autocrossing i do, launching is fairly important to get up to speed before hitting the timing lights. To keep from bogging out (and i consider the useless power our cars make at 3k bogging) you have to keep the rpm's pretty high and just use the clutch till you get up there.
