Scam.

They are really selling their "HAFC" which is the hydrogen generator scam.

The premise of their "PICC" concept is that a large proportion of the fuel that a car consumes is wasted by passing into the exhaust without burning completely. That is not true. There may be a percent or two to be gained but not a revolutionary amount.

 

ya scam crap.... every time i see one of these posts on craigslist i spam click that sucker!
if it really works dont ya think these car manufactures would do something like that...

you posted about this crap last month..... get over it if you want better milage drive like grandma does! or get a actual hydrogen vehicle that was built just for that!

 

Hasn't Honda basically already used this concept anyway in the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve? and also in the breather tube on the valve cover that connects to the intake pipe?

anyway yea it's a scam... nothing is going to increase your gas mileage that drastically.

 

You want major gas mileage - get a scooter or street bike. If there was something that could be added to your everyday car, and add that kind of gas mileage, there would be a HUGE demand for them. It would be all over the news. You would go to the store to get it, just to find that every SUV in town is there. There would be huge fights just to get the product. Imagine all the soccer mom fights. =) =)
And, because nothing like this is happening, you know it's BS.

 

Well, your theory is kinda true...
It depends how much they cost. We have hybrid cars now, but they're kind of expensive compared to regular gasoline cars. You don't see people fighting over those...
Even if they did have one of these that wasn't a scam, if it was like $500+ people wouldn't be buying it, because the population in general is too ignorant to realize that the $500 investment would save them over the course of time. Kind of the same reason that most everyone who buys a new car doesn't buy a hybrid. Because we don't see the long term investment and think it through.

With the hybrid, most people are juts uneasy with it. Between it being a power source that no one is really familiar with, and the fact that you have to charge it. You cant really go long distances like you can in our current vehicles.
But, you tell a person that they can save thousands a year by using a product, and still have the same reliability, they are going to buy that.

Good example -my 05 dodge has a 25 gallon tank, with $91.25 a fillup. When I drove it, I filled up at least once a week. So 365 a month for fuel. With a 50% increase in fuel economy, i would save $182 a month, or $2184 a year!
Something that good, would be all over headlines right now. Everyone would be able to see the benefits in saving 2,000+ a year. $500 shouldn't really hold anyone back from buying it.
