Maintenance Advice
Hey,
I'm a new member with a 2009 Civic Sedan Sport that just rolled over 200,000kms with really no problems at all, love this car.
We have stayed on top of fluid changes; oil, coolant and transmission but other than a change of brakes and a new plugs I have not had to do anything to this car. What I am looking for is any other suggested maintenance to keep this beauty running for another 200,000kms. This was the first Honda I have owned so I am still stuck in the GM mindset where the vehicle is a throwaway at 180,000kms but would like to keep the civic running for as long as we can.
If anyone has any advice for things to watch like that I should take a run at now before I have to, it would be appreciated.
Thanks,
R.

Another very overlooked item would be to bleed all of the old fluid out of your brake system and replace with new stuff. With 200,000km., the old fluid has absorbed a lot of moisture. New fluid will help prolong the life of your master cylinder, calipers, and brake lines. Good luck and keep enjoying the car. You have many miles/kilometers left on that one.
