the demand for civics and economy cars in general is on the rise. My congressman is predicting that we will reach peak oil production in 2012 and from then on the price of gas will be unbearable so they need something other than those big gas guzzling suvs when gas hits 8 bucks a gallon
It's funny... one of the dealers I was going to buy my Civic from emailed me today and mentioned the price increase but didn't say how much. Thanks for answering my question.
Speaking of 2006 Civic pricing: One Honda dealer in Northampton, Mass. has, on the showroom floor, both a sedan and a coupe. Both are loaded (of course) and along with all of the "extras" listed with their prices, they have something along the lines of: "$500 Market Adjustment," which I take to mean, "we're gonna get an additional 500 bucks because these cars are in demand...
