But have any of you installed a small trailer hitch on your civic? Now that I don't have a truck, I have NO way of getting my Raptor to the track, and I figured if I welded up a lightweight aluminum trailer, the gross weight would be under 500lb's, which is no more than 3 extra passengers in the car, so I doubt it would be over the gvwl... but the real question is, would the 1.6 do it???
I can whip out a hitch that would bolt into the unibody and totally tuck for stealth in no time.

don't know if this helps but my friend had a V6 accord auto that he used to tow his big *** 3 seater seadoo jet ski. getting going from a stop you could feel the motor really working to pull that weight and hills from a dead stop were grueling but once you get going it wasn't bad.

LOl, but a V6 is a whole 'nother subject... I have a feeling that V6 was puting down a lot more torque than these little things... but then again my Raptor probably weights half (of not even less) than what that seadoo did.

If you're going to start towing stuff with your Civic, you might want to consider swapping in the differential from a sportier Acura or Si model so you can have a torque-ier final drive gear ratio that'll help put the power down when you're hauling something heavy.
