Both cars are fantastic, good luck on your test drives.

you know, the mazda 3 speeds is a nice buy for the price. i mean $23000 and 265 hp 280 torque. allmost make me wanna go with that and save the 13-16k i would be spending on the sti and evo.

but anyway, OMG ! those cars rock. the test drives were awsome. could not open the sti up to much b/c of were the dealership was but the evo dealership is on one of those side road next the the interstate, he let me gun it.. wow..

Meh, you can't really compare a mazda to a subaru
sorry
but that's like putting a tri-cycle against a civic, haha
it's just not the same
Also quality, reputation, dependability of subie against a mazda???
I don't think so, lol
Subie for the win!
But then again, there is always that pesky factor of money that always gets in the way of making decisions, lol

even with all that power I thought mazda 3's were slow. Might have been the 6's....or both lol

yeah, FWD just isn't the way to go imo. Wheel hop and torque steer gets old quick.

Another thing to compare, is the warranty coverage. I obvoiusly don't have any experience with Mitsubishi warranties, but I will vouch for Subaru being VERY easy to work with. the 3 year 30k bumper to bumper is amazing, covers everything, right down to the windsheild wiper blades

Looks are subjective. You can't argue the numbers.
