ok so i wana check my tranny fluid but idk were to chekc it at and what kinda of fluid does a type r trans take?

 

There are two bolts on the side of the tranny (not sure which side though) near the axle. Remove the top bolt. If fluid starts coming out, then the fluid level is correct. If fluid does not come out, stick your finger in the hole and feel for fluid. if you feel fluid then the level is correct. If not, add fluid to the top hole until fluid starts coming out. To change the fluid, remove the bottom bolt. All the fluid will come out. Reinstall the bolt. Remove top bolt. Fill fluid through the top bolt until fluid starts coming out. Service Manual says to use Honda Genuine MTF (2.3qts). Service manual also says not to use regular engine oil b/c it does not have addidives and may cause stiffer shifting.
