ok im goin home tomorrow (7 and a half hours) but my car is makin some wierd sound. Since i took the ac off two days ago (i know some of you think this is stupid dont flame me lol) there has been this squealing sound coming from under the hood and just keeps getting worse. By taking the ac belt off did it cause some slack in one of the other belts enough to make it slip now? cause they both still feel tight so i dont know what to do. I thought mabye it was a bearing at first because the sound only came when i was driving not if i would idle and rev it but now if i rev it just sittin in the drive way it squeals? any thing will help i need to know how to fix this before i go tomorrow and wanted to ask yall before i forked out the money for a shop to check it out ug thanks!

 

yeah it sounds like you loosened the belt when you removed the AC, you may need to tighten it more, or maybe need a new belt, but i am not a mechanic so i don't know if a new one would be needed

 

ok ill go try that i dont see the belt tightening bolts though sorry kinda a newb lol can someone explain a lil how to tighten em? thanks lol
