Welcome to the forum.

THANK YOU for telling us it is a canadian SI (= USDM EX trim). Otherwise, people would be bringing this thread back to life in like 10 years saying "there is no such thing as a 98 SI" haha

Anyways, I hate to break it to you, but bolt ons will not give you much power. Maybe 5-10 at the most. Otherwise, look to boost the motor for a decent gain. I had a supercharger on my y8 and it made 165whp/140wtq. It was extremely fun to drive.

If you want more power, maybe add a camshaft? However, you would probably want to purchase aftermarket retainers and valve springs when you do that, and it is highly suggested to tune the vehicle with a camshaft installed. Also, if you want to tune, it is suggested to convert to OBD1 and get a chipped P28. Down converting to OBD1 will probably make you fail inspection.

What is your budget and power goals?

Let me know if all that makes sense lol

Ya i dont have to worry about inspections where i live i was considering maybe down the road putting a turbo on her i'm not much of a supercharger fan..Do they make a throttlebody spacer for the y8 and what if any would i gain from upgrading the injectors and tuning the ecm??

TB spacers are worthless. Upgrading injectors and paying for a tunable ECU is worthless on an otherwise stock motor.

If you plan on turbo-ing the car down the road, STOP what you are doing now, since that exhaust manifold and intake that you bought will have to be removed for the turbo kit. You would essentially be wasting money (ask me how I know).

I agree that i dont want to waste money on the car i'm not really into it much for parts the complete exhaust was only 200 and intake i got for 50.....If i do plan in the future to turbo this praticular engine I'll go all out complete rebuild performance head crank.......etc, and go for big boost i've owned a couple pretty fast turbo cars (not hondas) and its go big or go home i just want to get a liitle more jam out of her in the mean time while i work on apperance mods and suspension...Was also comsidering doing a swap to a JDM b18c

Yea, I would figure out what you want out of the car, then go from there by picking the motor, then the turbo, then the exhaust pieces and intercooler/piping to fit your set-up.

Getting a new motor would help save down time since the stock motor would be still in the car while the new motor is being worked on. Of course, it would be more expensive.
