Default New clutch problem

I recently just put in a new clutch and got everything together, adjusted the clutch cable and made sure fluid was in the tranny. Now it wont go into gear when running but when not goes in easy, when trying to start in gear it jumps like it is holding it still. I would like some opinions on what it is as I will be taking it apart again, I can either think the clutch disc fell or the tranny is at a weird angle being pinched. So please help as trying to get this running asap.

Tighten the cable a lot-- take all the slack out of it. Have someone press the clutch pedal and make sure the lever actually moves. If the clutch still doesn't release, you will need to take it apart again. If it does work, readjust the clutch cable for proper driveability, it should release with the pedal halfway down.

About all that can cause this is the release fork/throwout bearing broken or not assembled properly, or the springs on the clutch disk broken, or the wrong parts for the car installed. The transmission can't "be at a weird angle" if it is all the way against the engine and the alignment "pins" (the two cylinder like things among the bolts one on front one in back) are still in place.

Ya I tried to mess with it all, nothing worked, going to take it all apart cause I think it may be the throwout bearing that is causing my issue now.

Ok figured it out, I bought the new clutch off a buddy who could not use it said it was for my d series tranny, well how wrong he was, took the tranny off and it took hours off fighting had to take pressure plate bolts out to get the tranny disconnected and found out the spline on the clutch disc were wrong and had broke away. So after fighting with that and getting it off went and got new clutch which goes on great and all, putting new clutch all the way in tomorrow to finish and putting everything back. So what a mess I have been going through with this lol. Thanks for the input
