Im about to put 2 new sony xplod 6X9 speakers in my rear deck today.. shall be fun. Ill hook it up with pics of the results.. and ill be having some under the hood pics today too(they wont be pretty though)

 

the three-way 6x9 xplods have pretty good bass response as well as high frequency capabilities, i've got the same set, they work pretty well

 

I'm headed that direction as well this summer. good to know what speakers are decent.

also, there's a DIY for rear deck speakers. pretty well put together.

 

i do have xplod speakers and 2 12" sub and fosgate amp and they're awesome!

 

so i put the speakers in.. im uploading the pics now on my laptop.. theyre from my phone but eh w.e. Theyre Sony Xplod XS-V4642A.

nicely done! how do they sound?

 

eh, theyre aight .. im still getting used to them. The bass they produce is nothign comapred to my stock speakers. The stock speakers were able to produce more bass and idk why. I mean these are alright .. but i wish they were able to handle more bass and give my Paul Wall songs that kick they deserve

 

did you wire them correctly? they should kick much harder than stockers...

 

ya perfectly..and theyre soldered too so those bastards stay together.. I mean its not difficult to put pos. with pos. and neg. with neg. but idk i may just have a fualty pair..Theyre not hittin harder than the stocks ill tell u that.
