well aside from the fact that a/t doesnt make peak power before shifting, theyre a good 200 pound heavier. and correct me if im wrong, but isnt the drivetrain loss more in an automatic? (im prolly wrong)

Nope, you're right about the drivetrain loss.

And from what I know/have read/heard, stock ignition is good for up to 300+ Hp.

oh yeah... auto trannys will wear out faster than manual. i know that for a fact

i didnt think there was a need for a new ignition, i'm not driving this car forever, prolly like 6 years or around there, mybe alil more

With the a/t you would need a lot of power in low rpms seeing as how the auto shifts for you at like 4 or something...? Am I right?

Yea, especially when its a factory defect. Just call the mother f**ker at the tanny place I dealt with, can you flush $2,300 for a god damn part in your auto tranny?
