I was just curious if I swap upto a B16a2 or a B18C if I have to start using premium fuel?

Yeah, I think so due to the compression.

You could retard the timming and run lower octane but then people might question if your brain is 8* behind TDC too.

i have a 99 si, and in the owners manual it says for the si (b16a2) premium fuel, ive never ran anything else so i cant tell u the difference, but yes run premium
