Default Odd questions about 2002 auto dx-g. Thanks

HI Everyone,

I just had two quick question if anyone would be kind enough to answer. I just bought my first civic and it is awesome. It is an 02 civic dx-g (no modifications, automatic, 71k). There are a couple things I noticed and I just wanted to know if they are normal.

1) First the car seems to loose it pep around 140 Km/h. I am not sure why this is the basically the engine fall into a lower gear at this point and it can not go any faster. It is kinda like this... Say I start putting the gas on a 100km/hr, the engine responds and revs higher and starts to accelerate the car. It seems to keep good power all the way up the 140. At this point engine seems to change gear (reving lower) ut unfortunately the car is only capable of deliver enought power to keep a constant speed (peddle is to the floor). This does not seem right since my buster *** corrolla would go 160km/hr with any problems.

2) Secondly the car seems to roll backwards even though it is in drive. If the car is on a slight slope (say 15 degrees), the car is in drive. If I stop and take my foot off the peddles my car will start to roll backways. The only other car I had did not do this. I was just wondering if this is normal or if it means there is something wrong.

Thanks so much for any help.

Sean
