Default oil filter on 99 Civic

No, I didn't search. Just a quick question: What's the best way to get to the filter on a 99 Civic EX (1.6 VTEC)? It took me a while to even find the darn thing, hiding under the intake manifold. I haven't been under the car yet, is it relatively easy from underneath?

I thought the filter on my Miata was hard to get to, but, man........

Underneath is easiest. You'll probably have to raise the car anyway to get the oil pan drained.
