Default Paint Problem

I have a 2008 with dark blue aint. A month or so ago I must have been behind someone on the freeway or construction work. I have light gray speckles of paint on the front of my car and I am having a devil of a time trying to get it off. The only thing that works somewhat is rubbing compound and that is very time consuming. The RC takes a lot of elbow grease and doesn't take all of it off. Is there something out there that would help shy of taking it in to be repainted?

If its OEM paint and you are careful you use lacquer thinner. Dont go over board or else you'll really need new paint. But if it's fine enough you could use a clay bar.

Have you tried a clay bar yet? Usually a clay bar will get a car's paint really clean. I'd be careful with using any solvents that aren't made for cleaning a car as it could mess up your clear coat or paint.

Thinner is used for doing alot of things in a body shop for the paint process. You'll be fine if its an oem finish. If you are using a clay bar aggressive enough to be removing big imperfection you'll be doing more damage than thinner when used carefully.
