Default Port and Polish question

Hey guys I have im building a Gsr and I wanted to know if a port and polish and a three angle valve job is necessary. I going N/A with type R pistons and stage 4 buddy club cams. I have buddy club titanium valves, springs, and retainers ready to go in the head. Is it necessary and if not does doing it give large gains in horsepower, a lot of people are saying it all depends on the specific machine shop.

if it's done right you could get quite a bit of power from it, especially with the engine work you have. it's not required but i would definitely get it done.

Sounds like a solid (non-dd ) top end build. You do know that that combination is VERY loud. What else are you planning on for the top end? Manifold ideas? And what are you planning on tuning this with, it will require an extensive tune.

its going on a year now since I started, but i took the stock gsr apart had the block hot tank, polished the crank and switched the pistons to type r's, with the head im doing the stage 4 cams and the titanium upgrades i mentioned. im deciding between the type r header and the buddy club header, its about who has the best deals at this point. im gonna have it tuned on a chrome chipped p28 with 550 injectors. the intake manifold is a skunk2 for now, itb's are on the backburner until i finish my d series turbo
