Problem with my Civic SI!
Hello all,
I'm new to the site and would appreciate your insight/suggestions as to the cause of my Honda's problem... I have a 2004 CIVIC SI that I bought new. Alot of highway driving - I've put 102,000 kms on it in just over 1.5 years. I've had problems with the following issue since about 30,000 kms and Honda can't find the problem. A reoccuring squeak accompanied by a slight 'crunch' when depressing the clutch pedal near the top of the release. Temperature doesn't seem to play factor. Both master and slave cylinders have been changed. The fork and bearing have been changed and all areas lubricated including the pedal. The problem is always remedied for a short period of time but returns (relentlessly). It's becomming very irritating - both the problem and the fact that Honda can't diagnose. Anyone encountered this?
