Default pulling trailer

I am interested in my next car being the Civic Hybrid: I pull an 800 - 900 pound sailboat trailer (weight includes theSunfish sailboat). What experience do you have with the Hybrid pulling a trailer?
Thanks.

I dont have much knowlege on anyone wanting to pull stuff in a hybrid, lol but I do know that a hybrid starts off battery and then switches to gas at higher speeds, I would assume that starting from a dead stop wouldnt be good for the batteries. But it might work 800-900 pounds isnt that much.

I have a feeling the electric motor would never be used if you were towing something. The motor is mostly used for idleing and 0-10 mph. If you were pulling a trailer, the gas engine would have to do all the work. I suggest you look into a vehicle that was designed for towing.
