Default RE: Radar Detector

Just got home with the brand new 2007 Honda Civic EX black last night.
This morning, I hook up the radar detector.

It clips on to the driver side sun visor. I hardwired it to the fuse box so it goes on when I turn the key on and goes off when I turn the key off. Since it is at the sun visor, you cannot see it from the outside so it won't get stolen (or smash windows)...

I have always find that is the best position.

yea the escort passport ones are very nice. best buy sells them. but if u dont wanna spend that much, go with a cobra one.

Escort hands down does make the best. The reason being is because they manufactur the radar guns for the fuzz.

actually, black box jammers are the best but ALSO illegal in several states. lol.

they jam radar signals proactively. the best ones were discontinued at the request of law enforcement. now they sell watered down versions.

my former coworker has an original blackbox jammer and it works rediculously well. He's a news photographer and often tests his jammer on radar traps set up by his sheriff deputy buddies. it's crazy.

and NO. you can't buy one anymore. lol.

i've got a cobra, and i haven't been pulled over for speeding since i got it. don't buy one from wal-mart, because it will seem cheaper but it is a different model from the ones you get at best buy or radio shack which perform better. mine picks up lidar (i think its a 9450). just don't leave the volume on 10 all the time or you'll blow a speaker and it will sound like shiz... that's my only cobra complaint.
