Default Removing Window Scratch?

I was removing my tint from the front windows when I was stupid and put a scratch into the glass. It's deep enough so that if I run my fingernail across it, I can feel it's there. However, it's not deep enough so that my fingernail gets totally stuck.

I already tried glass polish with an electric buffer, but that didn't seem to do much. I was wondering if anyone had any "secret potions" of stuff to mix together to maybe get this scratch out. I heard something about using toothpaste on it...

wet sand the beesh wit 1000 grit, then 1500, then 2000. then throw the compound and wheel on it. maybe that will work, but i have never tried it. worth a shot tho!

Thanks guys I'l try that out. Question about the sandpaper though...would that be safe to do on a window? It won't scratch it anymore will it?

try this
http://www.ehow.com/how_2053620_remo...rom-glass.html
after you use the 2000 grid sand paper.
i probably wouldnt go lower than 2000 sand paper.. unless that didnt get rid of the marks
but idk i've never done it before
