Rev is lower than usual

Default Rev is lower than usual

hey on my honda civic 1994 vti when it idles sometimes it revs so low and feels like the car is gonna turn off but then it goes back up should i be worried? what can be the cause ive just did a full service spark plugs, timing belt waterpump etc and ive had this problem before and it didnt go away.

Probably a dirty throttle body, typical idling problem you can get it cleaned for a very low price.

I'd have it cleaned, one way or another it's not a loss to get it done.

clean the iacv on the back of the intake manifold out with some carb cleaner/brake cleaner. Also on the bottom of the throttle body there should be a fifv(fast idle) valve that gets clogged with dirt and should be cleaned as well. Should clear your idle problem right up

Thx mate appreciate the information im gonna give it a go tommorow and see if it works hope it gets rid of it and its ugly idling noises lol.

You could try to adjust the IACV but cleaning everything is prolly a better fix but if all that doesn't work search around the forum for a description of how to adjust the idle.
