RPMs at 70mph

Default RPMs at 70mph

I just got a 2003 Civic 1.7L Vtec and going 70mph my rpms are at 3300. Is this normal or hass the gearing been changed?

my 2000 EX runs at 2900-3000 @ 70 mph


my 97 LX ran at about 3000 - 3200 @ 70


So to me that seems a bit high, but i am not very familiar with 03's

I run about 3000 at 70 in my 93ex auto if that helps any

I beleive manual cars rev a bit higher. im revving at close to 4000 on a 99 si at 70
