jesus....telling him how to get out of it is in no way helping at all........now i officially have no sympathy for you at all, the fact that attempting to plead not guilty even passed through your mind disturbs me, you clearly broke the law, in more than 1 way, you kno you did it, the cop knows you did it....and yet still you are looking for waaays to get out of it??? that really shows alot about your personality......

man u were goin 100 on a packed highway.... well i did it once but it was at 3am and the only ppl on the highway was me and my brother. the most i ever do on the highway now is 60-65. im scared there will be cops in unmarked cars. lol
and most likely you will get points on ur license. the other day i made a left turn on a street where the signs say during a certain time of the day you can't turn left and i got a $50 ticket and 3POINTS on my license. im jus mad about the 3 points.

xcuse me?? i talk out of illusions?? the reality was he broke the law and he will, and rightfully should, pay the price for it...there is no illusion in that....and there is a difference between defending yourself and just completly attempting to swindle your way out of your punishment.....defending yourself is acceptable wen you stand up for what is right, in this situation nothing he did was right so there is no "defending" of anything.......suure the advice will most likely help him, and it will probably save him some money....but what will stop him from thinking he can do w/e the fu** he wants if he knows that people's "advice" is gonna get him out of it? and dont reply with "i learned my lesson wont happen again" because all u are worried about is $$, if you really learned somethin then this wouldnt be a primary concern......

iight i mighta overexaggerated on the first one....the "thoughts" pass through everyones mind, but the actual action of asking around and doing what you can physically to get out of it is a sleezy thing to do. And as for the second 1, there is no illusion there, ppl who try and get out of their crimes even though they kno they are guilty are called dipsh!t a$$holes.....OJ simpson anybody??????
Well, I’m glad we are on the same page at least on the first one.
Second one is not that straight forward. If we had God given laws, I would absolutely agree with you. Problem is, our laws are written by people, and people are not perfect and have their own agenda. Worth, different countries have different laws, and what is considered unlawful in one of them, could be perfectly OK in another. This makes me thinking that law is not an absolute moral category. For example, perfectly moral and law abiding German citizen can drive 100 mph on a highway. If American citizen does the same thing, he is considered a criminal. Are people that different in Germany and America? I don’t think so. I don’t think the person is a criminal if he/she drives above speed limit – millions do this on a regular basis, and almost everybody - at least several times during their lives. I couldn’t say the same about theft, for example. If so many people break the law, law is bad, not people, no matter what government says about it.
On the other hand, American speed limit laws are a significant source of income for the governments on all levels. Some small towns along interstates just plain live out of speeding tickets! For them this is not a question of law, this is a question of income, which effectively removes traffic laws out of moral considerations. This became a game of hide-n-seek that people play with authorities and, as such, does not entitle any of the parties to a moral superiority.
That’s why I do not consider immoral an attempt to get out of traffic ticket, or at least reduce the consequences.
All this is not to say that the kid did the right thing – he did the wrong thing, no doubt. But I consider it wrong not because he broke the traffic law, but because he endangered his and other’s lives.
And what about OJ simpson?
