Somebody help me OUT?
I own a 2000 Civic Si
Couple of months ago My Si was stallin on me when coming to a stop or down shifting to 2nd gear when you were going to park and idel would go down and car will turn OFF. Even if car was turned on to warm it up before driving it would also turned off.
***Dealer fix it and problem was ignitor inside distrubator was losse and Air throttle nedded and adjustment***
6 months later is doing it again and back at the honda dealer and can't find the problem this time because what they fixed last time evrything it's the same way they left things..I don't know what's wrong with it????

RE: Somebody help me OUT?
its worth a shot to talk to dealership about.....
most dealerships dont know CRAP unless the computer tells them to fix something!!!!!!!
for instance.... my old 96jimmy had a HARD shift when shifting into EVERY GEAR! automatic tranny... they come back with it needs a full tune up, computer reprogram, knock sensor basicaly like 1,200bucks worth of work! plus the 90dollar diagnostic fee....
i did what i could myself for cheaper then took it back to them for the knock sensor and computer reprogram still spend like 600bucks and main thing that will make me NEVER GO BACK to a dealership bay is the guy said HOPE ITS FIXED FOR YA!.... O HELL NO HE DIDNT JUST SAY "HOPE ITS FIXED".......... WTF drove it outta the bay and WOULDNT YA KNOW IT SAME PROBLEM just KICKS IN HARD..... i drove home cussing up a storm to myself! it ran exactly as it did before i took it in!
took it to tranny shop they inspected in and said it was fine and to take it to this electrical shop they send thier work to down the road.... 65dollar diagnostic fee and 1/2hour later he comes back with... its a sensor gone bad. 65dollar sensor and the problem was COMPLETLY FIXED!
NEVER AGAIN will i go back to a dealership to diagnos any problems!!!!!!
only way i will go back to dealership is for thier parts counter and if i MUST TELL THEM WHAT TO CHANGE AND NOTHING ELSE!
and thats only IF i cannt do it myself.
good luck with your problem!

RE: Somebody help me OUT?
More likely I will take it to an Electrical shop if dealer can't find anything with it. I'm also going to tell them about the recall..
****But the thing is that I don't trust those shops to leave my car with them**** I need to be recemmended to a shop in order to take it with them.
