Default Somethings Wrong with The Si...

A while ago I posted about having a low idle and once in a while my car will end up idling so low that it dies. But then it will be ok. Someone said it was probably caused by low pressure from the exhaust cause mine is loose. But yesterday I was driving and my car died while idling at a stop light. It started up fine like normal, and when I got off work and was driving home, it was idling low again, and was kind of jerking while I was accelerating, especially in 1st and 2nd gear. I was kinda worried that maybe that was a cause of my clutch needing replacement soon? Ive only had one clutch go out before, and it happened while I was racing. It was going soon and I guess the race seemed to be the last straw for it. Anyway, Im not totally sure what it would feel like if the clutch is going. And advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you given that thing a good tune up lately? Like new plugs, wires, fluids...etc?

I would. You sound a little like me. I bet you have a tendency to overlook the minor things, and expect the worst right? I do it CONSTANTLY. In fact, that was what brought me to HCF when I was looking at buying my civic, I freaked out about something really minor.

ANYWHO! I would do the tune up, and see how the car runs after that. If it continues to mess up, oh well, you got a fresh tune up so you know to look into other options ya know?

Just my opinion.

OO yes. I also assume it is something bigger than it actually is. But then again, when I fried the motor on my Eclipse, I prayed that it was something small. So I guess Im just preparing myself for something big. If I do the tuneup on Saturday maybe Ill try and do a DIY on like changing and gapping the plugs, and wat not... Nothing too great, but o welll....

Thanks for the advice!!

While you're at it, invest in a bottle of SEA FOAM!

you could also need a pcv valve, 3 of my friends had that problem recently and it was all the pcv valve for them.
